This Privacy Policy explains how Outlaw Country Radio 95.9 FM and 1140 AM collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit outlawcountry959.com (the "Site"), use our mobile app, submit a form, request a song, enter a giveaway, or otherwise interact with us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not rent or trade our listener lists.
1. Who We Are
This Site is owned and operated by Hill Broadcasting, which operates Outlaw Country Radio 95.9 FM and 1140 AM and the website at outlawcountry959.com (referred to in this policy as "Outlaw Country," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site, through the Outlaw Country mobile app, and through related activities such as giveaways and promotions, email communications, listener feedback, song requests, community event submissions, and advertising or sales inquiries.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that we do not control, even when you reach them through a link or an embedded feature on our Site. That includes our giveaway platform, our streaming player, social media platforms, app stores, and advertiser websites. Each of those services handles your information under its own privacy policy.
3. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
When you use our contact form, request a song, submit a community event, respond to an on-air promotion, or otherwise reach out, we may collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The type of submission you select and the contents of your message
- Any other information you choose to include in your communications with us
If you win a giveaway, we collect the information needed to verify eligibility and award the prize, which may include your mailing address, date of birth, and a signed release. For prizes valued at $600 or more in a calendar year, we also collect the tax identification information required for IRS reporting.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including:
- IP address and the approximate region derived from it
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits
- The website or source that referred you to the Site
We use this information in aggregate to keep the Site running, keep it secure, and understand general traffic patterns. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers through the Site. We do not collect precise GPS location. We do not collect biometric information. We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, health information, or financial account numbers, other than the tax information legally required from a prize winner.
4. Giveaways and the SweepWidget Platform
Our online giveaways are hosted and administered by SweepWidget, a third-party promotions platform. The entry form you see on our Site is embedded from SweepWidget.
This means:
- Your entry information is submitted directly to SweepWidget and is stored on SweepWidget's systems, not on outlawcountry959.com.
- We do not maintain a database of giveaway entries on our website.
- We access entry data through our SweepWidget account in order to run the drawing, verify eligibility, and contact winners.
- SweepWidget's collection and use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at sweepwidget.com. We encourage you to review it before entering.
- Depending on the entry methods offered for a specific giveaway, SweepWidget may ask you to complete actions on third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. Those platforms collect information under their own policies. Our giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform.
- Some giveaways are promoted jointly across the Hill Broadcasting stations. Where a giveaway is shared between Outlaw Country Radio and Rewind 98.1 FM, a single SweepWidget entry pool may serve both stations, and that is disclosed in the rules for that giveaway.
After a giveaway ends, we retain winner records as required for our records, FCC obligations, and tax reporting. We do not add entrants to marketing lists unless they separately and affirmatively opt in.

5. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your messages, song requests, event submissions, questions, and requests
- Operate and administer giveaways and promotions, including verifying eligibility, notifying winners, and awarding prizes
- Send you station news, event information, and other communications you have asked to receive
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our mobile app
- Understand general traffic patterns and the performance of our content
- Respond to advertising and sales inquiries
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity
- Comply with legal obligations, including FCC recordkeeping and IRS reporting, and enforce our terms and policies
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use only general, standard website cookies. We do not operate an advertising cookie network, and we do not place tracking pixels for the purpose of targeting you with ads across other websites.
The cookies and similar technologies in use on the Site fall into these groups:
- Strictly necessary. Cookies set by our website platform and by our security and bot-protection provider to load pages correctly, protect forms from automated abuse, and keep the Site secure. These cannot be turned off through the Site because the Site will not function properly without them.
- Functional. Cookies that remember display preferences, including the settings you choose in our on-page accessibility toolbar.
- Analytics. Cookies that help us count visits and see which pages are used most, so we can improve the Site. This data is reviewed in aggregate.
Third-party embeds. Some pages include content served by other companies, such as our streaming player, our giveaway entry form, embedded video, social media feeds, and advertiser and community partner banners. When that content loads, the third party may set its own cookies. We do not control those cookies. Review that provider's privacy policy for details.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode and a setting to reject third-party cookies. Some features of the Site may not work properly if you block cookies. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request not to sell or share personal information, although as stated in this policy we do not sell or share personal information in the first place.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only as follows:
- Service providers. We use vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, security and bot protection, email delivery, analytics, mobile app distribution, and giveaway administration. These providers may use the information only to provide services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
- Prize sponsors and fulfillment partners. When a giveaway prize is supplied by a sponsor, such as a venue, promoter, or advertiser, we provide the winner's name and the contact or delivery details needed to issue or ship the prize. We share this information only for the winning entrant, only for that purpose, and only with that sponsor.
- Affiliated stations. Hill Broadcasting operates more than one station. Where a promotion or communication is run jointly across our stations, information you submit for that promotion may be handled by staff across the station group for the purpose of running it.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or a security issue.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, station sale, or transfer of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the receiving party to honor the commitments in this policy.

In the twelve months preceding the effective date of this policy, we may have collected the following categories of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"):

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under the CCPA, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. 9. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA, subject to certain exceptions:
- Right to know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it.
- Right to delete. Request that we delete personal information we collected from you.
- Right to correct. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out method before the practice begins.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights
You or your authorized agent may submit a request by emailing hello@rewind981.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or by calling (661) 524-9981 during office hours.
We will verify your identity before responding to a request to know, delete, or correct, typically by matching information you provide against information we already maintain. If you use an authorized agent, we may require written proof of the agent's authorization and separate verification of your identity. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need an extension permitted by law.
Because your giveaway entries are stored by SweepWidget rather than on our Site, a request that concerns entry data may also need to be submitted to SweepWidget. We will tell you if that applies to your request and will act on the portion of the data we control.
10. Communications
If you contact us, enter a giveaway, or ask for updates, we may contact you by email, text message, or phone in connection with that activity, including to notify you if you win. Message and data rates may apply to text messages sent by your carrier.
You can opt out of promotional email at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by emailing hello@rewind981.com. Opting out of promotional messages does not stop operational messages, such as a reply to your inquiry or a message about a prize you have won.
11. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Contact form submissions, song requests, and event submissions: up to 24 months
- Email subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again
- Winner records, signed releases, and prize documentation: at least 4 years, to satisfy FCC recordkeeping expectations, tax reporting, and any dispute
- Non-winning giveaway entries: held by SweepWidget and deleted in line with our account settings after the giveaway closes and the drawing is verified
- Server and security logs: typically up to 12 months
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or take reasonable steps to de-identify it.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These include encrypted connections to our Site, access controls on staff accounts, and bot protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our giveaways are open only to entrants who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16, and as stated above we do not sell or share personal information at all. 14. Third-Party Links and Content
Our Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including advertisers, prize sponsors, community partners, social media platforms, app stores, streaming services, and our giveaway platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
15. Broadcast and Public Content
If you call our request line or contest line, appear on the air, send us a photo or video, or post on our public social media pages, that content may be broadcast, published, or reposted by us. Do not send us anything you do not want made public. Calls to the station may be recorded and aired in accordance with FCC rules.
16. Where Your Information Is Processed
Information collected through the Site is processed and stored on servers located in the United States and, in some cases, in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
